Georesin Column Injection - an overview of geopolymer column injection technology
Column Injection is a geopolymer column injection technology developed by Georesin for strengthening weak soils and stabilizing subsiding structures. This method is used where traditional soil stabilization methods are no longer effective or are ineffective.
The technology enables the formation of durable geopolymer columns in the ground, which act as load-transfer elements, friction piles, or compact structures—depending on the soil type and the intended application.

On the other hand, Column Injection gains the advantages of classic pile technologies:
- The ability to transfer loads to stable underlying soils without the need for additional injection material to strengthen the entire volume of weakened soils. This allows the technology to be used in applications where injection techniques previously required high material consumption.
- The ability to operate on the “quasi-friction pile” principle (friction pile). The soil-polymer mass does not need to reach the underlying soils. This is because the mass provides bearing capacity by compacting soft soils due to the increased pile volume and the polymer’s adhesion to them.
At the same time, they do not have the typical disadvantages of bored piles, such as bulky equipment, high material consumption, and limitations in working with the reinforcement of existing structures.
