Scope of work: strengthening the ground(soil) of a concrete floor slab, partially lifting and leveling the floor slab.
– implementation of work in February 2025
The house was built in 2016:
− individual residential building of complex configuration, overall dimensions 17.73 m x 10.27 m;
− monolithic reinforced concrete strip foundation;
− walls made of brick and aerated concrete blocks, insulated with polystyrene foam boards;
− floors are prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs and monolith.
During the operation of the house, horizontal cracks were discovered in the load-bearing walls. Initially, company specialists conducted a survey. Analysis of the data obtained showed that the soil layers within the active zone under the floor were further compacted during operation under the influence of additional loads, which led to uneven deformation (subsidence) of the floor and the appearance of cracks.
The task was a real challenge because the owner asked to find an alternative solution for the work so as not to damage the tiles on the first floor of the house. Therefore, it was decided to carry out injection from the basement of the house, inserting the injector not vertically into the ground using the classical method, but horizontally into the wall in order to compact the soil and level the floor in the area we need.
The existing problem was solved by deep injection using GEORESIN technology. The company’s specialists strengthened the base (soil) of the concrete floor slab to a depth of -3.0 m from the top of the floor slab, partially lifted and leveled the floor slab (until the cracks and gaps between the floor slab and supporting walls were closed). Completion of the entire complex of work took 4 days.
After completing a set of restoration works, a geodetic survey was carried out.
