When the floor in a cozy living area starts to “go out from under your feet” for as long as 27 mm. This isn’t just a cosmetic defect. It’s a serious sign that a void has formed under the concrete foundation, and the underlying soil has ceased to provide its support.

Reason for contacting: The floor has sunk

The homeowner contacted our specialists when uneven floor subsidence in one of the rooms became visible to the naked eye. The difference in level was 27 mm, which led to the appearance of gaps between the floor and the baseboard, as well as the risk of cracking tiles and destruction of the finishing coating.

Technical Inspection: The Root of the Problem is Deep

A technical survey revealed that the subsidence was caused by the different density of the soils beneath the house. Starting from the depth0.9 mLoose soil layers were discovered below the floor level. Under the weight of the building, these layers began to subside.

Technical solution: Two-level stabilization

To solve the problem, a combined strategy was chosen that not only allowed to level the surface, but also to guaranteestrengthening the foundation base.

1. Deep Lifting

The first stage of the project involved the engineers’ “foundation of the foundation.” The voids in the loose soil were filled with polymer, transforming it into a stable, monolithic mass. This created a reliable support capable of withstanding the pressure of the slab.

2. Floor Lifting

Once the foundation had stabilized, specialists began restoring the floor to its original position. Geopolymer was injected under pressure directly beneath the slab, filling the air pocket created beneath it. The process was monitored in real time with millimeter-level accuracy using laser levels.
