Cracks are a very common phenomenon that can be observed on different scales, but on almost all structures: from historical to new buildings. There are a number of reasons for their origin of cracks, but most often they are the result of a combination of several of them.
Damaged masonry is best stabilized and reinforced with Stati-Bar stainless steel spiral rods. Long stati-Bar spiral rods are integrated on both sides of the crack into the cut-out grooves. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

Installing long spiral rods arranged according to the project over door and window openings is a quick and easy way to create or repair brick (block) arched lintels in buildings. Prestressed stainless steel rods can be used in existing brick (or stone) masonry to form a reinforced brick lintel (gas block, concrete block, stone) over a flat level or curved arch.
Jumper failure occurs for a number of reasons. Shallow or flat brick arches can collapse due to insufficient support on both sides of the arch, concrete lintels tend to rotate, wood deformations when dried or moistened, and metal lintels can degrade over time as rotting or corrosion begins.

Where masonry has cracked and collapsed as a result of soil movement, element destruction, weathering, or increased loads and stresses, the innovative and versatile Stati-Beam system binds the masonry together and creates deep masonry beams within the existing structure.
They are created by inserting two parallel layers of reinforcement at the joint of the formation, each of which contains a pair of spiral rods that make up the upper and lower flanges of the brick beam. Deep masonry beams are able to cover areas of masonry destruction, redistribute the applied loads and increase the wall’s tensile, shear and bending strength, creating the effect of tightening structures.
Non-reinforced brick panels are strong in compression, but relatively weak in resistance to shear and tension loads. Walls can bend and crack when exposed to increased loads and stresses. Such stresses can be caused by: localized ground movement / subsidence, destruction of jumpers, or fluctuations in humidity / temperature. Reinforced masonry is more resistant to shear and tensile loads, as it is reinforced by plastic and elastic steel reinforcement.
Reinforced brickwork can be used wherever it has lost its load-bearing capacity. It is usually used to cover areas of localized soil movement to reduce the need for partial reinforcement of the base. In other cases, it can be used for a span between concrete platforms or piles to reduce the cost of repairing sagging structures. Reinforcement of horizontal joints can also be used to increase resistance to wind loads and expand the Centers of moving joints.

REASONS FOR CRACKS AND PROBLEMS:

  • This happens because the structures are moving. The soil under your foundation tends to shift slightly when the external conditions change. These tiny movements are not dangerous in the short run, but they can lead to small cracks in the weak points of your walls - the places where doors and windows were inserted.
  • Due to the freshness, new building materials usually contain a large amount of moisture. When they dry out, there is a tendency to shrink (shrinkage). This small movement can cause small cracks in the walls of the house, usually at the junction or abutment.
  • Regular and reliable internal climate control (maintaining a constant level of temperature and humidity) does more for your home than just making it comfortable for you. It also keeps the interior trim in good working order. When the house is left empty, the lack of climate control can lead to cracks in the interior decoration.
  • Leaking windows and/or roof can cause moisture to enter the walls of your home. This leads to wetting, softening and destruction of the wall material, which then leads to cracking. In case of flooding, the situation is the same, only the scale is larger.
  • There are a number of reasons for problems with the foundation, including a clay base, poor-quality construction (without observing construction technologies), water damage to the foundation or simple subsidence.
